Gulf Air appoints DFASS to run inflight retail

Duty Free Air & Ship Supply has been awarded the contract to operate inflight duty-free on board Gulf Air from January 1

Duty-free concessionaire Duty Free Air & Ship Supply (DFASS) has been appointed to run inflight retail on board Gulf Air. The agreement, effective from January 1, affects all routes operated by the carrier and is designed to expand the onboard duty-free offer for passengers.

Gulf Air CEO Björn Näf said: “The move to appoint DFASS as the concessionaire is consistent with Gulf Air’s objective of focusing on its customers. We will be working with DFASS to streamline and improve our existing service while exploring a number of new opportunities for our customers, including pre-order and mail order through the internet.”

DFASS CEO Benny Klepach added: “We see this as a very exciting opportunity for the company. Gulf Air has ambitious expansion plans, as we do for this region. We are delighted to be working with them and their new inflight retail team.”
