The company’s pay-per-transaction technology will be deployed on board Saudi Arabian Airlines Catering Company’s airline customers in the region
Canadian onboard retail technology provider GuestLogix has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabian Airlines Catering Company (SAAC), a partnership between the recently-privatised Saudi Arabian Airlines subsidiary and an investment group that includes Toulouse-based Newrest Group’s subsidiary ILC. The deal will enable the retailer to deploy GuestLogix Mobile Virtual Store technology and platform on board SAAC’s airline customers in the region and to automate SAAC airline partner shopping services on board, on the ground and online.
GuestLogix president and CEO Tom Douramakos said: “This is a significant development for GuestLogix as it marks our entry into one of the most rapidly growing markets in the world. Our technology platform and merchandising programs are designed to help airlines enhance their onboard travel experience, thereby achieving higher levels of customer satisfaction and revenue.”
SAAC CEO Christophe Parent added: “The GuestLogix system will help us to completely automate onboard transactions, increase sales and introduce new services. Our airline partners are committed to quality service and innovation, and we look forward to working with the industry’s leader to tailor our inflight offer and maximise comfort and experience on each flight.”
