The new accessories shop will open at Sydney International airport terminal one in September

Fashion brand Guess is to open an accessories store at Sydney International airport terminal one as part of the facility’s A$500m ($387.4m) redevelopment project, due to be completed in early 2010. The Guess shop is scheduled to open in September and will join global brands including Burberry, Lonely Planet and Emporio Armani as part of the international terminal’s upgrade.

Guess’ Australian retailer Busbrand managing director Simon Nankervis said: “As an internationally recognised brand we see a great synergy with Australia’s main international airport. The T1 store will give Guess the perfect platform from which to show off the brand to local and international markets and give customers the Guess experience as they leave Australia. We are very excited by the opportunity this represents.”

The brand’s accessories range includes jewellery, watches, sunglasses, footwear and leathergoods.
