Grant’s names new travel-retail director

William Grant signals its commitment to the duty-free channel with the announcement of a senior new addition to its travel-retail team

William Grant & Sons has named Rita Hill as its new global travel-retail director effective from January next year.
Hill, who is currently the commercial director of the company’s own UK distributor First Drinks Brands, replaces Ylva Persson. Hill will report to Kevin Fong, William Grant & Sons managing director for Asia and global travel-retail.

Before joining First Drinks Brands in 2002, Hill worked at a senior management level with Rank Hovis McDougall and Nestlé.
Commenting on her appointment, Kevin Fong said: “With her wealth of commercial experience and successful record during her tenure at First Drinks Brands, Rita will build the value of Glenfiddich, The Balvenie and Hendrick’s gin in the travel-retail channel and work with our global travel-retail team to drive brand growth."
