Grand Marnier has appointed Alexander James & Co as exclusive US duty-free distributor for its local subsidiary Marnier-Lapostolle, effective January 1 2004

Grand Marnier has appointed Alexander James & Co as exclusive US duty-free distributor for its local subsidiary Marnier-Lapostolle, effective January 1 2004. The deal covers sales, marketing and distribution of all Marnier-Lapostolle's products, including Grand Marnier Cuvee Louis Alexander, Cuvee du Centenaire and Cuvee du Cent-Cinquantenaire.

Marnier-Lapostolle executive vice president and chief operating officer Emmanuel Cargill said: "This is an exciting time in the travel-retail business and we are delighted to be working together with Alexander James to further develop our position in this important sector of duty-free in the US."

Alexander James president John Alexander said: "We are proud to welcome Grand Marnier to our premium wine and spirit portfolio.  Grand Marnier is the ideal brand for today's travel retailer and consumer."
