Dubai Duty Free has just opened a new gold store in the centre of the Sheikh Rashid terminal at Dubai International airport. The new store is already performing well, according to the operator. Gold accounts for 11% of sales at the airport. In 2002, the company sold over three tons of gold and expects to surpass this in 2003.
