Popular cigar executive Yves Goemaere to take up new challenge beyond travel-retail

J Cortès Cigars export manager Yves Goemaere is to leave the company in May after 10 years of service.

Goemaere, who helped achieve greater international visibility for J Cortès and had an integral role in the company’s introduction to duty-free and travel-retail in 1998, will become international sales and marketing director with a Belgian company in the wood industry.

He said: “I know this will come as a big surprise to most, but I would like to thank you all for a decade of good collaboration, business, friendship and pleasure. I am convinced you will show the same spirit and motivation when working with my successor.”
