Luxury chocolate supplier Godiva has opened a new shop-in-shop at Singapore Changi airport terminal three in partnership with DFS Group.
The new 20sq m (215sq ft) outlet features a loose chocolate counter, dipping counter and chocolate box area with cabinets, wall bays and gondolas. The opening, which took place earlier this year, was supported by tasting activities allowing customers to sample a range of Godiva chocolates. Similar promotions will run in May and June.
A Godiva spokesperson said: “In the past we supplied pre-packed products to DFS downtown shops. The partnership has evolved with Godiva opening a shop-in-shop in the Scottswalk Galleria store in Singapore last April and now we have opened a new shop at Changi. The new shops demonstrate Godiva’s ability to cater for airport retailers’ needs by providing them with a flexible range of merchandising solutions.”
The design of the shop-in-shop is in keeping with Godiva’s “modern allure” approach which was recently extended to include new branded fixtures for international travel-retail. “Godiva travel-retail manager Europe and Americas William Legallais said: “As the shopping experience in this environment is so important, we need to continue supporting our brand with fixtures and fittings that reflect the quality of the chocolate as well as the premium positioning of the brand. The modern allure system does that admirably. It is simple yet elegant, using architectural inspiration in a modern but chic way.”
