Next month sees Belgian chocolatier Godiva running a "Buy Two Get One Free" promotion with Korean Air. The promotion only applies when customers use the airline's pre-order system and is based on Godiva's 220g coffret.

Meanwhile, Godiva is planning to repeat its highly successful promotion with British Airways last autumn which offered £2 ($1.45) off the price of a Godiva Ballotin with every bottle of spirit purchased. Sales more than doubled during the promotional period. This promotion will run again this September and October.

Godiva director duty-free/travel retail sales Sylvie Fiers commented: "We find promotions a very effective way of increasing sales. Normally we would expect sales to double during any promotional period."
