Gobra makes travel-retail debut

1-Apr-2004

The sporting goods manufacturer has appointed Genesis Distribution to manage travel-retail distribution as it aims for golfing destinations

Gobra, one of the most respected golfing accessory brands, is hoping new travel-retail listings in the Middle East will spark global demand in the channel. The company, represented in travel-retail by Genesis Distribution, has recently gained listings for its sporting underwear, footwear and golf equipment through Aer Rianta International-Middle East at airports in Oman and Bahrain.

Genesis managing director David Spillane commented: "Gobra has been synonymous with quality sporting equipment for a number of years and enjoyed great international successes in the world of professional sport. We felt it was time to leverage that success in the travel retail channel."
