Global export structure emerges at Unilever

Unilever Cosmetics International (UCI) has made several appointments within its new travel-retail and export structure, effective this month. They follow the announcement last month of its new global boardroom structure (see news story dated December 15). The following positions were announced by recently-appointed chief operating officer and president of business units Peter Midwood.

*Peggy Elsrode - formerly vice-president, travel-retail and distributor markets for Calvin Klein Cosmetics - has been named UCI's vice-president for global travel-retail and export distributor markets. She is responsible for European travel-retail including distributor and travel-retail businesses in Scandinavia and eastern Europe. Elsrode also handles distributor and travel-retail markets in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian sub-continent. In addition she oversees global travel-retail coordination and the inflight business.

*Christophe Blanc - formerly vice-president, north Pacific for Calvin Klein - has been named UCI vice-president for Asia/Pacific. Located in Singapore, Blanc is responsible for all brands in the domestic and travel-retail markets of north Asia, southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

*Former Elizabeth Arden vice-president for Latin America Ramon Vita has been appointed to the position of UCI vice-president for duty-free and export Americas. Vita oversees all brands in Latin America, Caribbean domestic markets and North and South American duty-free markets. He is based in Puerto Rico.
