TFWA World Exhibition gala night star George Benson is to play a benefit concert at the Palm Beach, Cannes, on Friday October 26 at 9.00pm in aid of the New York Firemen's Appeal.

Benson is already booked to play the gala evening on Thursday October 25 and, following discussions between TFWA and the City of Cannes, has agreed to stay an extra night to play again.

"TFWA is delighted that Mr Benson has agreed to make time in his busy schedule for this additional concert, which we are sure will raise significant funds for the New York Firemen's Appeal," said TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen.

"Mr Benson is not charging for his appearance, the City of Cannes is paying for the additional accommodation and the costs of travel to Cannes have already been covered by TFWA, so whatever is raised from ticket sales should be available to the charity concerned."

Tickets are available for Eur44 from the following sales points:

Billeterie Palais des Festivals
FNAC
Carrefour
France Billet
