The German duty-free operator will address the Nordic Travel Retail Group meeting in September

The Nordic Travel Retail Group has invited German retailer Gebr Heinemann to its association meeting in Copenhagen on September 16 to tell members about its plans for entry into the Norwegian travel-retail market.

Travel Retail Norway, a 50:50 joint venture between Heinemann and Norwegian cosmetics retailer Esthetique Norge, was awarded the seven-year contract to operate duty-free at Oslo Gardermoen, Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim and Kristiansand airports in June.

The contract, estimated to be worth about $150m a year, begins on January 1 2005.

Heinemann area manager Raoul Spanger will address the members-only meeting, which takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Copenhagen airport.

See DFNI July 15 for the market's reaction to Norway's newest duty-free operator.
