Gate One conference postponed

16-Apr-2003

The inaugural Gate One Conference, organised by Airports Council International (ACI) and Tax Free World Association (TFWA), has been postponed

The event, which was due to take place at next month's Singapore show, had been in doubt owing to the SARS outbreak and a reluctance to travel among scheduled speakers. ACI and TFWA have pledged to monitor the situation and expressed the hope that the conference would take place with an unchanged programme at a future date.

The Gate One Conference was originally planned to complement a full Gate One exhibition, but the larger event was postponed in February. The organisers are planning to run the event in 2004.

The TFWA Asia Pacific show, meanwhile, is to go ahead as planned, the association has insisted. For more details and reaction, see the weekly newsletter DFNI eXTRA, out every Wednesday.
