Luxury leathergoods company Furla has added its name to the airport’s strong Italian fashion line-up

Italian luxury leathergoods supplier Furla has opened its forty-second airport location with a dedicated boutique at Bologna airport. The 50sq m (538sq ft) store complements Bologna’s already strong Italian fashion offer and features Furla’s rolling concept furniture, which allows the store layout to be refreshed easily and often.

The 50 sq m boutique is decorated according to the 'Rolling Concept Furla', with movable furniture which allows the constant renovation of the interior design.

Before the opening Furla was present at 58 terminals at 41 airports across 17 countries worldwide. It expects turnover from duty-free retail to reach Eu7.5m ($10m) in 2007, representing 5% of the company’s total turnover anticipated for the year.

Furla targets to further expand in the airport sector, opening new sales points at airports in Moscow, Copenhagen, Vancouver, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and Johannesburg by the end of 2007. In November it will open a corner at Beijing airport, its first in China. From January 2008 the company's products will be available also at airports in Munich, Nuremberg, Cologne and Mauritius.
