According to reports in the French press, the country's ministry of finance has launched a tender to find an investment bank to advise it on the privatisation of airport authority Aéroports de Paris (AdP). The contract is structured in two sections; the first relates to advice on the proposed sale of AdP, and the second relates to the sale of stakes in some of France's state-owned regional airports.A spokesperson for AdP told TRW that the authority was not yet ready to make a statement. The company's new president Pierre Graff is expected to outline AdP's position in the coming weeks.
The privatisation of AdP would allow the authority to become even more closely involved in owned airport retail. This year the landlord entered a joint venture with tenant operator Aelia to run liquor, tobacco, fragrances and cosmetics retail at Paris Charles de Gaulle terminal two (DFNI E-mail Flash January 23).
