Slight growth at the group's German airports was offset by a dramatic decrease at its Antalya terminal last month

Fraport Group has announced a drop in passenger figures in April. The airport authority's six airport locations served 5.7m passengers last month representing a drop of 3.3% against the same month last year.

Frankfurt International airport registered 2.5% growth, Frankfurt-Hahn airport 5.1%, Hanover airport 8.1%, Lima airport 6.2% and Saarbrucken airport 4.7%.

The Fraport-managed terminal at Antalya airport suffered from a passenger drop of 53%. Fraport said: "This was due to the inauguration of a new passenger terminal, in which Fraport is not a partner."

In the first four months of the year 21.4m passengers passed through Fraport-operated airports, representing an increase of 1.4% on the same period last year
