Frankfurt International airport has joined the growing list of airports offering sports car promotions aimed at raising excitement and spending in their terminals

From November 11 Frankfurt airport shoppers will be able to take part in the "Santa please bring me a Porsche!" promotion. Up to four Porsche Carrera sports cars, valued at ?80,000 each, are to be given away by Christmas.

To enter passengers simply pick up and drop off an entry card in any of the airport's 188 shops and restaurants throughout terminals 1 and 2. Two Porsche cars have gone on display in the terminals wrapped in orange ribbon.

Frankfurt will again be holding its International Christmas Market from November 29 to December 26 featuring mulled wine and stands selling German ornaments and handicrafts as well as gifts from around the world. Frankfurt says its Christmas Market is the only one open in Germany on December 25 and 26.
