Frankfurt airport opens new shopping square

The latest shopping area in terminal two, which includes 825sq m (8,880sq ft) of retail space, opened on June 10
Frankfurt International airport operator Fraport opened a new shopping plaza in terminal two on June 10. The 1,000sq m (10,760sq ft) market square includes 825sq m (8,880sq ft) of retail space and features a 200sq m (2,150sq ft) Boss/Tommy Hilfiger store operated by Gebr Heinemann, a 35sq m (376sq ft) Pilgrim outlet run by local retailer Nemati, a 215sq m (2,314sq ft) Virgin Multimedia store operated by HDS Retail Germany and an 80sq m (860sq ft) sunglasses shop run by Pfendt Airport Optic.
Other outlets, including a 115sq m (1,237sq ft) fashion and accessories store dedicated to streetwear brands such as Diesel, G-Star Raw and Converse operated by Gebr Heinemann and another accessories concept, are due to open at the end of October.
The new shopping plaza is in the public area of T2 at the intersection of the paths to the SkyLine, check-in halls D and E and the Food Plaza visitors’ terrace. Situated next to the terminal’s glass façade, the area enjoys natural light and views of the city skyline and Taunus mountains.
