Four bidders compete for Changi branded concession

Swarovski is among the names battling for the latest T2 contract
Four bids have been lodged for a branded shop concession at Singapore Changi airport terminal two, departure/transit lounge north.
Swarovski Singapore has offered an additional rent in year 1 one of 25% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guaranteed payment of S$37,500 ($23,000). In year two it proposed 25.5% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guaranteed payment of S$40,000 ($24,540) and in year three it offered 26% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guaranteed payment of S$45,000 ($27,600), whichever is higher.
Market One offered rent of 11% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guaranteed payment of S$20,000 ($12,270), whichever is higher.
Eu Yan Sang Singapore offered 12% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guaranteed payment of S$18,000 ($11,), whichever is higher.
And Bee Cheng Hiang Hup Chong Foodstuff offered an additional rent of 5% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guaranteed payment of S$5,000 ($3,065), whichever is higher. The contract starts on May 1 and runs for three years.
Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has called a tender for a branded shop concept at Changi airport T2, departure/check-in hall north. The closing date for submissions is March 20. The three-year contract begins on June 15 and there will be a site briefing on March 2.
The airport authority has also called two food and beverage tenders in T1. One is for a branded western speciality concession, the other for a branded Asian speciality concession.
