Tax Free World Association CEO Andrew Ford is to leave the trade body to join DFS Group as vice-president business development

Tax Free World Association CEO Andrew Ford is to leave the organisation to take up a role as vice-president business development with DFS Group, based in Hong Kong. A departure date has yet to be finalised although RavenFox.com understands that Ford is likely to begin his new role by mid-summer.

Ford joined TFWA in 1999 and has overseen a period of considerable change at the association, which has sought to expand its base through the addition of new conferences and support for regional trade bodies.

TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen said: "Andrew has played a vital role in developing TFWA to its current position as the world's biggest duty-free and travel-retail association.  We are delighted for him that he has been given this opportunity and we wish him every success in his new role."

TFWA has confirmed it is seeking a replacement for Ford to start work as soon as possible. More information on the role can be obtained from Bouttier & Co at ibouttier@bouttier-co.com.
