Flemingo International has partnered with jewellery and watches supplier Damas to sell its range of products in India

UAE based duty-free company Flemingo International has partnered with jewellery company Damas to offer its portfolio of jewellery and luxury watch brands at stores in Jaipur, Trivandrum and Chennai airports in India. Damas will offer its in-house gold jewellery brands such as Harmony and diamond brand Solitaire at the shops.

Flemingo India director Atul Ahuja said: "The Indian duty-free market is set to expand with an increase in the number of people using affordable air travel and a surge in the number of tourists visiting the country. We try to get the best discounts and promotions for our customers to ensure that they have a great shopping experience and our tie up with Damas will make international jewellery and watch brands more accessible to shoppers."

Damas managing director Tawhid Abdullah commented: "We see great potential in the Indian duty-free market. With the increase in the number of budget airlines and privitisation of airports, the country is witnessing an increase in air passenger traffic and duty-free shops are doing brisk business. Flemingo, with their successful track record in the duty-free market, was our ideal choice for this venture."

Flemingo operates 25 shops at the international arrival and departure terminals across 12 airports in India. An additional 12 duty-free outlets at six international Indian airports will be opened by January 2007.
