L’Oréal Luxury Products Division Travel Retail Asia (Scental) and Nuance-Watson (HK) opened the first-ever stand-alone Giorgio Armani Beauty travel-retail boutique at Hong Kong International airport (HKIA) on January 17. The 30sq m (322sq ft) flagship store features make-up stations, a skincare corner and a fragrance bar.

According to L’Oréal, customers will be treated to services from skincare consultations to catwalk-inspired makeovers by “face designers”. The company said in a statement: “Following the thriving performance of Giorgio Armani on the Hong Kong local market and the long-term strategy of the brand in mainland China and Taiwan, HKIA is the ideal location to open this flagship boutique. HKIA consists of a diverse and sophisticated passenger mix, with Chinese and Taiwanese purchasers representing a considerable proportion of the luxury cosmetics consumer.”
