First-ever Travel Retail Summit to be held behind closed doors
June's first-ever Global Travel-Retail Summit has already attracted an audience of the industry's most powerful suppliers and retailers--two months before the event takes place.
"It's truly a case of the calibre of the audience matching the calibre of the speakers," said Raven Fox publisher Martin Moodie. "We've attracted a roll-call of the world's most powerful retailers and suppliers, from China Power Duty Free Group in Asia to DFS Group in San Francisco, from Chanel in France to Furla in Asia."
Anyone wanting to hear the presentations from the likes of DFS Group ceo Ed Brennan must attend the conference as it is a "closed doors" event and will not be reported elsewhere in the press. This is to encourage an informal and constructive debate.
Conference manager Rossella Golluscio said: "We have refined the agenda, moved some sessions and added more key speakers. Just as importantly, the calibre of the audience will ensure an unprecedented networking opportunity."
New speakers to be confirmed include Gai Zhixin, chairman of China Duty Free Group and China Power Duty Free Group who will address the critical subject of "Tomorrow's Chinese Consumer". And Kathy Anderson, executive director of the Shop America Alliance, will speak on how domestic market retailers target travel-retail in the giant US market.
