FIFA and Global Brands Group have announced the opening of the world’s first FIFA Official Store at Singapore Changi airport terminal three’s departure/transit mall. The outlet, operated by Nuance-Watson (Singapore),  features authentic FIFA World Cup merchandising, football-themed clothing and footwear from adidas and five FIFA-branded clothing lines—Editions, Code, Trophy, Events and Sports Graphics.

Global Brands president and co-CEO Gary Schoenfeld said: “As FIFA’s first permanent retail location, the FIFA Official Store represents an important milestone towards further connecting fans around the world to FIFA’s rich heritage dating back to 1904 as well as the excitement and anticipation of future events including South Africa 2010. The store’s unique design and exclusive merchandising [reflects] both the passion and lifestyle of the world’s most popular sport.”

Schoenfeld added that the company plans to open new stores soon in “fashion centres worldwide” including London, Tokyo, Los Angeles and emerging markets in Latin America, China and India. A web-based storefront on FIFA.com is also expected to open in autumn 2008.
