The dynamic US-based travel retailer and brand owner is understood to be interested in the LVMH-owned fashion house

The Falic Group is among interested parties in talks with luxury goods group LVMH Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton to acquire its fashion house Christian Lacroix, according to reports. It is believed that LVMH has presented plans internally to sell the label to the Falics. Christian Lacroix is the only label that LVMH has conceived from scratch rather than introduced through acquisitions.

Sources close to the Falic Group, which owns Duty Free Americas, indicate the company is also interested in acquiring further beauty brands to join its Hard Candy and Urban Decay portfolios.

LVMH recently sold its Hine cognac, Pommery champagne and Bliss cosmetics brands and bought the Glenmorangie Scotch whisky brand, which it plans to develop through its international network.
