Falic Fashion Group has signed a worldwide licence agreement with Perry Ellis International to produce and distribute fragrances, skincare and cosmetics under the Perry Ellis brand in a deal worth $63m

Falic Fashion Group, a subsidiary of Duty Free Americas, has entered an agreement with Perry Ellis International to manufacture and distribute fragrances, skincare and cosmetics products under the Perry Ellis brand.

As part of the transaction, Falic Fashion Group agreed to purchase all rights, titles, interests, certain intangible assets and the inventory of the fragrances business in a cash transaction of about $63m.

Perry Ellis International chairman and CEO George Feldenkreis said: “After carefully evaluating all options we have decided to grant this licence to the Falic Fashion Group. We are very excited about this new direction for our fragrances business given Falic Fashion Group’s keen understanding of the high-end and luxury markets. They are strongly committed to positioning our Perry Ellis fragrances in channels that complement our apparel distribution, which is essential to further enhancing the cross-category lifestyle concept of our Perry Ellis brand.”

He continued: “The agreement will allow Perry Ellis International not only to recoup all of the invested capital used for the purchase of assets from Parlux Fragrances, but also to maximise our royalty income from this key product category.”
