Tax Free World Association has appointed Olivier Charriaud as CEO
Olivier Charriaud has been appointed CEO of Tax Free World Association (TFWA). Charriaud comes to the position from his role as managing director Europe, Middle East Africa and Global Travel Retail at Rémy-Cointreau Group. Prior to that he worked for companies including Diageo (then United Distillers) and Moët Hennessy Distribution.
As well as coordinating the activities of all the association's departments, Charriaud will hold executive responsibility for the TFWA World Exhibition, the Asia Pacific exhibition, the Gate One commercial revenues event, the Middle East Duty Free Conference and the TFWA's research programme.
TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen said: "The selection process has been long and very thorough, with many excellent candidates. We are confident that with Olivier in the CEO seat we can further strengthen our excellent team spirit, and also continue the process of developing the association and the activities in which we are involved."
Charriaud will take up the role on October 16, attending the TFWA World Exhibition later the same month, which the association said he would use to "meet as many people from the industry as possible".
