The Taiwanese retailers beat competition from local and international companies to win 12-year contracts at the Taipei Chiang Kai-shek T2
Following an open tender at Taiwan's Taipei Chiang Kai-shek airport terminal two, local duty-free operators EverRich Duty Free Shop and Tasa Meng Corp have won 12-year concessions to operate space at the location. The contracts will take effect in September this year and will run until 2018, local sources told RavenFox.com.
EverRich will take over about 7,700sq m (82,850sq ft) of retail space in the C wing of T2, including airside departures and arrivals stores. Categories to be offered by the retailer include liquor, tobacco, fragrances and cosmetics, general merchandise, fashion, electronics and multi-media items. It will also run a drugstore and bookstore.
Tasa Meng's new space will be housed in T2's D wing.
RavenFox.com understands that a number of international retailers took part in the tender, including DFS Group.
More details will appear in DFNI February 1, out next week.
