The group's global development strategy enters a new phase as it aims to strengthen brand acquisition functions, grow representation in non-department store markets and develop its eponymous beauty brand

Beauty house Estée Lauder has revealed two senior management changes as part of its global development strategy. "The new roles are aimed at continuing to develop the company's expertise as global brand builders," said president and CEO William P Lauder.

Group president in charge of Estée Lauder, MAC, Aramis & Designer Fragrances Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne will be charged with developing a European headquarters for global brand acquisition and multi-channel growth of non-department store markets. The move is designed to help the company achieve its goal of becoming a $10bn cosmetics company.

John Demsey, the current president of MAC, will take over global responsibilities for the Estée Lauder brand from Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne. As president of the Estée Lauder brand worldwide, he will continue to evolve the brand equity developed in the last couple of years.
