Escada Beaute Group will take direct control of all activities for Escada in North American travel-retail markets as well as the Caribbean from previous agent Beaute Marketing Services, effective 2001.

Nicholas Ratut, executive vice-president and chief operating officer of the company's US-based subsidiary Adipar and of Escada Beaute Group in the Americas, announced that Leslie Khoury will join Escada from Beaute Marketing Services. As sales director based in Miami, she will report to Ratut in New York.

He told trw.com: "There is great potential to grow our business in travel-retail and to help other companies, as we do at Adipar in the US, combining several brands in order to achieve critical mass and an increased share of market."

Ratut is now responsible for all domestic and duty-free activities in the Americas as well as Australia and New Zealand.
