The City Stars duty-free store in Cairo's Heliopolis district is now open to the public

The partnership between Egyptair Duty Free Shops and Aer Rianta International-Middle East (ARI-ME) has opened its luxury retail outlet in Cairo's City Stars shopping complex in the city's Heliopolis district. The unveiling of the 2,000sq m (21,520sq ft) store follows recent openings at Luxor, Cairo and Marsa Alam airports.

An official opening will be held shortly.

ARI-ME signed a seven-year consultancy deal with Egyptair Duty Free Shops in 2004 with a view to upgrading duty-free stores in several Egyptian airports including Cairo, Luxor, Sharm-el-Sheikh and Hurghada.

In further Egyptair news, vice-president of the company's Duty Free Shops division Nour Al Hoda Sid Ahmed has been replaced by Abdul Kader Katamish, who moves from his position as general manager of Cairo airport terminal one.
