Edrington names travel-retail manager

Keith Bonnington, formerly brand manager at Whyte & Mackay, has joined Edrington Group's travel-retail team
Scotch whisky supplier Edrington Group has appointed Keith Bonnington to the newly-created role of travel-retail manager. He will be responsible for core brands The Famous Grouse, The Macallan and Highland Park in a number of key European travel-retail markets.Bonnington previously worked within the travel-retail team at rival Scotch whisky supplier Whyte & Mackay, leaving the company last year.
Edrington area director global travel-retail William Ovens said: "Keith's experience, coupled with his knowledge of the drinks industry, will be a major asset. Exciting times lie ahead as we seek to develop our brands in this market, and Keith will play a pivotal role within our strategic plan."
Bonnington added: "I am looking forward to building the profile and visibility of Edrington's Scotch whisky brands, which have exciting prospects and great potential within the global travel-retail market."
