European Commission’s director of transport security will address delegates at the ETRC business forum next month
This years European Travel Retail Council (ETRC) Business Forum will address the new Customs security regulations put in place since November.
European Commission (EC) director of transport Marjeta Jager will give the keynote speech at the conference, which takes place at the Amsterdam Hilton on March 27-28. The ETRC said in a statement that the forum will provide travel retailers with a chance to discuss and debate the impact of the new regulations with a senior EC official, adding, [Jager will] provide the Commission's view on the implementation of the new aviation security regime, but also look at how EU transport policies may affect the industry in the future.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol COO Ad Rutten will also speak at the conference, providing an overview of the impact the new regulations have had on the airport and how it has adapted its operations.
The line-up of speakers includes Tax Free World Association (TFWA) president Erik Juul-Mortensen and other industry executives. More details of the conference programme and how to register will appear on the ETRC and TFWA websites in the next few days.
