European Parliament president Hans-Gert Pöttering will deliver the keynote address at the event

The European Travel Retail Council (ETRC) has announced that European Parliament president Hans-Gert Pöttering has agreed to give the keynote address at the 2008 ETRC Business Forum, which will take place in Brussels on June 4-5.

ETRC president Frank O’Connell said: “To have the president of the European Parliament agreeing to give the keynote speech at our Business Forum shows how seriously the ETRC is taken as an industry partner. I urge everyone involved in the European travel-retail trade to ensure that the dates are blocked in their diaries for this important conference that will benefit executives across the entire industry.”

Among the topics to be discussed at this year’s forum are environmental issues affecting travel-retail, the spending trends of low-cost carrier passengers and the future of arrivals duty-free.
