Duty Free Philippines (DFP) is nearing completion of its Manila International airport terminal one store, as part of a raft of renovations and new projects in the country.

The move includes opening a series of new fashion boutiques, among them Cartier and Salvatore Ferragamo. The renovated T1 liquor, tobacco and confectionery store will be complete in the coming weeks.

The company is also to start renovating its terminal two stores, which caters for Philippine Airlines, a project which will be finished by early next year.

Also new is a downtown store in Cebu, which targets tourists to the area.

The operator expects to turn in a profit of around $10m this year, after successive years of losses. This follows the appointment of new general manager Michael Christian Kho.
