Duty Free Paris opens 11 fashion and accessories stores at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport
Duty Free Paris, the joint venture between Aéroports de Paris and The Nuance Group, has expanded its presence at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. On July 23, 11 fashion and accessories stores opened in terminals 2C, 2F and T3 covering 760sq m (8,177sq ft), making a total of 23 shops in the portfolio.
Eight of the shops taken over by Duty Free Paris feature leading international brands in the fashion and accessories sectors including Giorgio Armani, Hermès, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Céline, Hugo Boss and Longchamp.
The joint venture has also opened three multi-brand concepts, two Attitude stores and one Cult shop. They offer established international brands, such as Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Sonia Rykiel, Thomas Sabo, Swarovski, Wolford, Esprit, Roxy, Quiksilver, Guess, Longchamp and Kipling.
The choice of brands offered in the new shops is tailored to match the needs of the passengers going through the terminals, according to Duty Free Paris. Terminal 2F, an international terminal as well as a Sky Team hub, operates flights to leading destinations across Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, while T3 handles flights for holidaymakers.
Duty Free Paris president Florence Lenne said: "In this summer holiday season, we are pleased to offer 11 new boutiques to our passengers at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. Today, our strategy consists of developing new points of sale and in offering new brands in order to create the most attractive retail areas at European airports. We share this ambition with our partner The Nuance Group, a leader in the travel-retail industry.”
Duty Free Paris general manager Guy Bodescot said: “Between late January and today [July 23 2009], Duty Free Paris has expanded its portfolio to 23 stores by taking over 20 existing outlets and opening three new shops. The 11 new stores opened in July feature a newly-designed product offer aimed at providing travellers through Paris Charles de Gaulle with a truly exceptional shopping experience.”
