The Swiss operator secures another contract in Singapore, giving it a portfolio of nine shops.

After securing one of two new confectionery concessions at Singapore Changi airport, Dufry Singapore is poised to become the category's largest retailer at this pivotal Asian location.

The latest concession in T1, awarded this week, covers two shops and a total of 135sq m (sq ft). One shop is in the central departures area and the other is in the check-in area.

Earlier this year, Dufry was awarded a confectionery concession and a contract to operate a Bijoux Terner store in Changi T2. Dufry also operates three further stores at Changi offering electronics, computers and computer-related products.

Dufry regional marketing director Eurasia and Asia Daniel Garcia said: "We believe this award will further strengthen our relations with the strategic suppliers and by featuring some of the best known brands in a fun and entertaining environment along with a unique selection of destination products, we are confident we will enhance the passenger experience in Changi airport."
