Dufry posts double-digit growth

The retailer's sales improve by 12% after a strong performance in the Americas and efficiency savings
Retailer Dufry Group has reported year-on-year sales growth of 12% for the first eight months of 2004. Total sales across the group reached SFr568.9m ($448m), with Dufry CEO Julian Diaz singling out the company's performance in the Americas as a highlight.
?We're very pleased with the performance of all our regions, but in particular the Americas,? he told DFNI. He added that the changes made since Dufry's takeover by Advent International in February had improved the efficiency of the business.
