The company presented its strategy at the Global Travel Retail Summit

Dufry Group CEO Julián Díaz González revealed a seven-point global strategy for the company's development at the Global Travel Retail Summit. He said the company was "in negotiations" to develop both organically and by acquisition, but did not comment on its engagement in a bidding race for Spanish retailer Aldeasa with catering firm Autogrill.

Other plans for the operations of the Swiss retailer, backed by Advent International, include adapting its own international procedures for management, IT and administration; refining consumer understanding and marketing techniques; a new organisation for central functions; and reinforcing its global administration structure.

Díaz said retail sales enjoyed year-on-year growth of 21% during 2004.
