Dufry Group has opened a new 1,200sq m (12,912sq ft) outlet at Moscow Sheremetyevo airport terminal C - a four level building that accommodates international passengers previously served by terminal one.

The shop offers a wide range of brands, which include Chanel, Christian Dior, Lancôme, Esteé Lauder, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Kenzo, Prada, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Escada, Dunhill, Davidoff and Boss.

The shop is part of a 3,345sq m (35,992sq ft) duty-free area in terminal C that offers a range of products from liquor and tobacco to accessories and watches. Dufry plans to introduce mini boutiques and a fragrances and cosmetics selection to the duty-free area imminently.

The general director of the airport remarked: “Dufry was selected as the only operator in an open tender. For the airport it is very important that Dufry not only provides a high level of passenger service, but also shows the best correlation with international requirements for aviation security.”

Dufry CEO Julian Diaz said: “We are pleased to expand our operations in Russia as it is one of the most dynamically developing markets. We are dedicated to our strategy of enhancing our concession portfolio and presence in markets with growth potential such as Russia as well as tourist destinations.”

At present Sheremetyevo serves about 8.7m international passengers per year.
