The group's largest store at the airport has been reopened after a two-month expansion project

The Dufry Group has reopened its main duty-free store at Sharjah International airport following a two-month expansion project (DFNI June 15). The 1,080sq m (11,620sq ft) store has been made more open—it now features two big entrances on opposite sides—and the product range has been greatly expanded.

Dufry Group director retail operations Jan Baljet revealed that the new shop features a walk-in humidor with a wide range of Cuban and Dominican cigars, as well as a selection of accessories including humidors, pipes, cutters and lighters. The group has extended its range of designer sunglasses, increased its food and confectionery offer and opened a new luggage area.

Baljet added that the group has also extended the range of toys it offers at the store, as well as expanding the wines and fragrances sections.
