The retailer's new location will capitalise on increased traffic between Nicaragua and Honduras.
Dufry has opened a new border duty-free shop in Nicaragua, on the frontier with Honduras. The 60sq m (646sq ft) shop, named El Espino, offers the company's best-selling brands in liquor, fragrances, cigarettes, electronics and confectionery.
Dufry Nicaragua general manager operations Silvio Vargas said: "We are very excited about the opening of our new border shop. This border area has experienced a significant increase in the number of passengers and tourists travelling within the Central American countries. The shop was strategically built in front of the customs and immigrations offices and offers our best-selling selection of products."
