The operator opens two new stores in the country's capital

On June 17, Dufry opened its latest shops in the newly refurbished departure terminal at the Kotoka International airport in Accra, Ghana. The first store, at 250sq m (2,690sq ft), carries the traditional duty-free assortment and one corner is dedicated to the Bijoux Terner product range. Earlier this month Dufry opened a Bijoux Terner store at Rome Ciampino, where all products are priced Eu12 ($14.60).

The second shop in Accra, the African Art shop, is 100sq m (1,080sq ft) and includes an assortment of local products such as dresses and fabrics, wood and brass figures, local jewellery, drums and other items.

Dufry director retail operations Western Africa and managing director Ghana Felix Brunner said: "We are extremely happy to finally have opened our two new shops and are confident that the open-shop concept introduced will attract a lot of customers."
