Dufry appoints Latin America chief

Dufry has named former ANA Aeroportos de Portugal retail director José Carlos Costa da Silva Rosa as regional COO South America

Dufry Group has appointed José Carlos Costa da Silva Rosa as regional COO South America. Carlos Rosa joins from airport authority ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, where he held the role of retail director. In his new role he will oversee the development of the Brasif business, acquired by Dufry last month.
 
Carlos Rosa will be based in Rio de Janeiro, from where Dufry will run its new South America division. He took up his new role on April 17.
 
At ANA Carlos Rosa was responsible for the development of retail revenues across Portuguese airports, working with concessionaires including The Nuance Group/TAP Air Portugal joint venture Lojas Francas de Portugal. He was among the speakers at the 2004 ASUTIL conference in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.
