Dufry Singapore wins single brand name concession tender at Changi

The retailer will open a Grand Prix F1 store in terminal two departure/transit lounge north
Dufry Singapore has beaten competition from 10 other retailers to win the tender for a single brand name or concept shop concession at Singapore Changi airport terminal two departure/transit lounge north. The travel retailer will open a Grand Prix F1 outlet after offering additional rental of 20% of total monthly gross sales (tmgs) or a minimum monthly guarantee (mmg) of S$36,000 ($24,829) for gross sales up to S$83,333 ($57,468), 20% of tmgs or mmg of S$40,000 ($27,585) for sales above S$83,333 ($57,468) up to S$91,666 ($63,217), and 20% of tmgs or mmg of S$44,000 ($30,344) for gross sales above S$91,666 ($63,217), whichever is higher.
Six of the 11 bidders proposals did not clear the concept evaluation and had their financial offers returned unopened. These included DFS Venture Singapore (a sunglasses concept), Chomel (Madame Butterfly), Da Vinci Collection (Doris Vinci Jewellery) and Saresco Travellers (Bijoux Terner). The other qualified bidders were Samsonite Singapore (Samsonite Originals), The Marketing Co (Accessorize), Mitch & Marc Lifestyle (Mitch Marc Australia) and Foodie Tales (Fino Leatherware).
Dufry Singapores contract starts on December 1 and runs for three years until November 30 2010.
