The group hires ex-Dubai Duty Free and Aer Rianta International executive Eugene Michael Barry as chief airport retail manager Sharjah
Dufry Group has appointed Eugene Michael Barry as chief airport retail manager for its Sharjah operation as of last month.Barry has extensive experience of travel-retail in the Middle East, having worked for Aer Rianta International in Qatar, where he managed inflight sales and the start up of the airport and downtown duty-free operation, and in Egypt. More recently Barry worked for Dubai Duty Free for three years, responsible for commercial development as well as supply chain and human resources management.
In a statement Dufry said: "With his twelve years of professional career Barry has gained very good experience in many operational issues...from developing relationships to tendering. Dufry is delighted that Barry has joined the company."
