Dufry, DFS and InterBaires vie for top Americas award

Three of the most dynamic retailers in the Americas make the shortlist for Americas Travel Retailer of the Year at this year’s Raven Fox Americas Awards

Dufry Group, DFS Group and InterBaires have been nominated by the industry as the best travel retailers in the Americas. The three companies made the shortlist after an industry vote to find the Americas Travel Retailer of the Year, with the ultimate winner to be announced at the Raven Fox Awards for Travel Retail Excellence in the Americas 2007 ceremony, to be held during next month’s Duty Free Show of the Americas.

The retailers also vied for the title last year, although it was finally claimed by Duty Free Americas—which narrowly missed out on the shortlist in this year’s awards. This year also sees some new nominations, in particular The Nuance Group’ new retail development at Toronto Lester B Pearson airport, which made the shortlist for Best Airport Travel-Retail Location in the Americas, and Canadian border operator Peace Bridge Duty Free, which is in the running for Border/Downtown Retailer of the Year.

The winners will be announced at a special ceremony on Monday April 23 at the Floridian Ballroom, 3rd floor, Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
