Beyond security, the plans include a large circulation area for passengers en route to piers A and D. The enhanced airside retail and food and beverage offer will be accessible from the pier A end of the existing retail area, which will be replaced by a new café-style outlet. More than 12m passengers are expected to use piers A and D in 2008, a 40% increase on current passenger volumes in this area.
