Dubai Duty Free staff boost tsunami relief fund

The retailer's staff and management have given generously to the Alpha fund, on top of the company's corporate pledge

Management and staff at Dubai Duty Free have made individual contributions to the Alpha Orient Lanka Tsunami Fund, adding $21,000 to the company's $10,000 donation.

DDF managing director Colm McLoughlin said: ?I am very proud that the contributions of the managers and staff at Dubai Duty Free has reached such a substantial sum and I am sure it will do a lot of good for this particular project.?

The retailer has also adapted its Finest Surprise promotion after an anonymous Dubai businessman donated a Land Cruiser Station Wagon for the raffle. DDF is selling 2,000 tickets as opposed to the usual 1,000 at Dh250 (US$68), half the normal price, with all proceeds going towards the Tsunami relief effort.
